Gillian is known for the personal service she offers, frequently seeing clients and their families out of hours and going the extra mile to look after them in times of crisis. She works from her home office, where clients have direct access to her by telephone and visits clients in their own homes as a matter of course.

She has two grown-up children with families of their own and loves spending time with them and she does her best to spend several weeks each year on the English canals on her shared-ownership narrowboat.

Gillian’s association with Solomons goes right back into the mid-1990s when she and Paul worked at competing firms in Christchurch, but nevertheless happily exchanged ideas and tools to enhance their client work. After many years working at a senior level as a solicitor specialising in the fast-growing area of elder law, Gillian founded her own specialist practice in 2009. Now, after 36 years as a solicitor and with a strong personal client following, she is happy to continue looking after them as a consultant of Solomons, secure in the knowledge that Paul and his team will provide the backup that she needs.
Gillian is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly. She holds the STEP Advanced Diploma on Advising Vulnerable Clients, with distinction.
